Muriel T. (Brousseau) Giard, 85, of Cumberland, previously of Woonsocket, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Lydia Taft House. She was the wife of the late Clement M. Giard. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Phillippe and Rose Anna (Dubois) Brousseau. Muriel was a cashier at CVS Pharmacy on Cass Ave. for forty four years, retiring in 2010. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Senior Citizens.
Muriel is survived by a niece, Lorraine Charrette and her husband Normand of The Villages, FL, and three nephews, Richard Forget and his wife Muriel of N. Smithfield, Robert Giard of Naples, FL, and Donald Giard and his wife Marie of Woonsocket. She was also the sister of the late Fleurette Forget.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery in Woonsocket. Visiting Hours are Friday 4-7 PM.
