Kenneth E. “Busta” Nutt 78 of Whitman passed away peacefully, late on Sunday night, February 16 in the South Shore Nursing Facility of Rockland.
Born July 10, 1935 in Fairfield, Maine he was the son of the late Lillian J. and Walter S. Nutt, and had attended Fairfield High School before enlisting in the US Marine Corp in 1953. After the service he had made his career as a successful independent vender here on the South Shore.
He was a loyal member and generous contributor to numerous local veterans’ organizations and municipal clubs.
He is survived by his four sons, Raymond Nutt and his companion Gail Moran of Whitman, Robert Nutt and his wife Barbara of Whitman, Richard Nutt and his wife Debra of East Bridgewater and Stephen Nutt and his fiancée Danielle Kaihler of Pembroke. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and his beloved companion and friend of over 40 years Jane Lemieux of Whitman and her daughter Julie. He was the brother of the late Benjamin Nutt.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours to be held Thursday February 20 from 4-8 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. By request of the family all other services are omitted.
