Loyd Potts, 56, of Water Valley died at Baptist Memorial Hospital - N MS Wednesday, September 29, 2004.
Funeral Services for Mr. Potts will be held at eleven o'clock in the morning Friday, October 1, 2004, in the chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home, Water Valley, with Reverend William Milam officiating with comments from Lynn Potts. The burial will be in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery in Calhoun County, MS, with Dale Potts, Willis Goodnight, Wayne Adams, and Ronnie Melton serving as pallbearers.
Born September 8, 1948, in Yalobusha County, Mr. Potts was the son of the late Charlie Rufus Potts and Willie Vance Potts. The husband of Joann Potts, he was a chipper operator at Skuna River Lumber and a member of the O'Tuckolofa Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS.
Survivors include: his wife; Joann Potts of Water Valley, MS; a son Floyd Dewayne Potts of Water Valley, MS; four brothers, Elvis Potts of Enid, MS, Jimmy Dale Potts, Sr. of Batesville, MS, Bobby F. Potts of Water Valley, MS, and Charles Lynn Potts of Water Valley, MS.
