Dorothy (Sullivan) Quirk, 78, of Kennebunk, ME died October 19, 2004 at Southern Maine Medical Center, Biddeford, ME.
Born in Manchester, NH on November 27, 1925, she was the daughter of Arthur and Victoria (Jakaitis) Sullivan.
She lived in Concord, MA for 20 years, Concord, NH for 21 years and Kennebunkport, ME for 15 years before moving to Kennebunk.
Mrs. Quirk worked as chief clerk for New England Telephone Company in Manchester, NH for many years.
While in Concord, MA, she was a house mother to students in Higginson House dormitory at Middlesex School and volunteered at Emerson Hospital, both for many years. She was also a den mother with the Boy Scouts.
In Concord, NH, she often traveled with her husband to recruit students for St. Paul’s School.
The family includes her husband of 54 years, Thomas J. Quirk Jr. of Kennebunk, ME; three children, Thomas J. Quirk III of Las Cruces, NM, Brian J. Quirk of Worcester, MA and Lindsey Quirk of Winchester, MA; four grandchildren, one aunt, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday October 22, 2004 in St. Joseph Cathedral, corner of Pine and Lowell streets, Manchester, NH. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford, NH
