Obituary

Tilton-----Richard J. Lemay, 83, of the New Hampshire Veterans Home, died at the Franklin Regional Hospital on Sunday, February 16, 2014.
Mr. Lemay was born on May 23, 1930 in Laconia, the son of Emile and Yvonne (Lavertue) Lemay.
Mr. Lemay was a Veteran of the US Navy during the Korean War. He graduated from the Bentley School of accounting. He worked as an accountant in the industrial field for General Electric and Honeywell and had been with both companies for fifteen years. He had lived in Minnesota, Arizona, Boxboro and Framingham, Mass. for many years moving back to Laconia in 1990.
Mr. Lemay liked to golf, he traveled extensively around the world, living in Paris, France for ten years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Mr. Lemay is survived by many nephews and nieces; he also leaves behind his long-time companion, Betty Robinson, with whom he enjoyed many trips and other activities. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, Walter and Rene Lemay and by two sisters, Doris Page and Arlene Lemay.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:00AM at St. Andre Bessette Parish, Sacred Heart Church, and 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
Burial will follow in the family plot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia NH.
