Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Pamela E. (Andersen) Giamanco, 62, died peacefully Friday, February 14, 2014 at her home following a brief illness.
Born in Gloucester on September 28, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy (Conway) Andersen. A graduate of Gloucester High School, she was a lifelong resident of Gloucester.
Pam was employed as an industrial stitcher for Zip-Up Products in Salem and Bainbridge International of Canton for many years, in addition to have previously also worked at the former Capt. Harry’s Seafood in Ipswich for multiple years. Pam became a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter #896 of Gloucester in 1982, holding a lifetime membership.
She loved traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas and taking cruises. She also enjoyed candle making and spending time with her beloved grandchildren, and caring for and helping others in need.
She is survived by her companion of thirty-six years, Gard H. Estes of Gloucester; her children, Joseph V. Giamanco, Jr. and Sherry L. Estes both of Gloucester; three grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Giamanco and Travis Landes all of Gloucester and two brothers, Neils Andersen of Lynn and Keith Andersen of Somerville.
Visiting hours for Pam will be held on Wednesday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 4 – 8 p.m. with a eulogy service beginning at 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
