Charles "Charlie" Vozzella of Boston's North End died Friday, February 14 in the Spaulding Nursing & Therapy Center-North End, Boston. Born and raised in Boston, he was the son of the late Angelo and Maria (DiOrio) Vozzella. At the age of 29 Charles moved to Brighton where he lived for 18 years before returning to the North End.
Charles was the beloved husband of Jean (Terravecchia) and devoted father of Angelo Vozzella of Lunenburg, Vermont, Charles Vozzella and his wife Michele of Stoneham. He was the loving grandfather of Thomas and Elizabeth Vozzella, both of Vermont, Michael Vozzella and his wife Stefania of Wakefield, Jenna Vozzella and her fiancé Matthew DeCicco of Reading, and the loving great grandfather of Giovanna, Ava, and Sofia. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, February 20 at 8:45 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover Street, Boston, at 9:45 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
