Obituary

Laconia------Robert A. Lemay, 89, of 276 Gilford Avenue, died at the Laconia Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, February 13, 2014.
Mr. Lemay was born March 30, 1924 in Laconia, the son of the late Joseph and Leona (Corriveau) Lemay. He was a lifelong resident of Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School in 1942. He served in the US Navy during World War II.
Mr. Lemay was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and was employed at Bergen-Paterson, Inc. for many years. He enjoyed watching Laconia High School sports for many years. He was a member of the VFW Post #1670 of Laconia and the American Legion Wilkins Smith Post #1 of Laconia.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Nadja (Nemcovich) Lemay, of Laconia; a son, Allen, and his wife, Lorrie, Lemay, of Merrimack, six grandchildren, Joshua Lemay and Matthew Lemay, both of Bedford, Cory Lemay of Merrimack, Colby Gaines of Portsmouth, Conlee Gaines of Laconia and Chandler Gaines of Belmont; one great grandson and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lemay was predeceased by a son, Dennis Lemay, a daughter, Janice Gaines, and five brothers, Omer , Ralph, Ronald “Babe”, Gerard “Gerry” and Maurice.
A calling hour will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11AM at St. Andre Bessette Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, N.H.
Burial will follow in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery , Garfield Street, Laconia.
