NATICK: Barbara Louise (Klein) Antobenedetto, age 82, a loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend, died on Friday afternoon, February 14, 2014, at MetroWest Medical Center after falling ill at her South Natick home. She was the devoted wife of Aldo Antobenedetto for 65 years.
Born, raised and educated in Natick, she was a daughter of the late George and Eleanor (Cheney) Klein. She met Aldo while in high school and they married in 1948.
Barbara and Aldo made their home in Framingham, where Barbara created a warm and loving home for their growing children. In 1968, she began work with the Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham, leaving when the Antobenedetto’s moved to her ancestral home in 1977. A family oriented lady all her life, Barbara was more recently happiest when surrounded by her ever increasing number of great-grandchildren. She enjoyed travel and seeing new places, whether near or far, and was especially fond of flowers.
She is survived by Aldo; their son, John Antobenedetto and his wife Lynn of Surprise, AZ; two daughters, Karen Hall and her husband Calvin of Plainville, and Marie Antobenedetto of South Natick; a sister, Jean Griffin of Arlington; a brother, William “Bill” Klein and his wife Sandy of Lunenburg; five grandchildren, Wendy, Erica, Thomas, Kimberly, and Michael; eight great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Giselle, Benjamin, Connor, Noah, Calvin, Aiden, and Zoey; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit with Barbara’s family at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Wednesday, February 19th beginning at 11:30a.m. A Service of Committal will follow at Glenwood Cemetery at 1:30p.m.
