February 14, 2014 Antonio A. Freitas passed away at the age of 72 at the Brigham & Woman’s Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband for forty five years to Celeste (Braga) Freitas. Antonio owned and operated A. Freitas & Son Trucking for over thirty six years. He was a cherished father of Nelson Freitas and his wife Jennifer, Linda Coelho, Kelly Avilla and her husband Brian and Jennifer Chaves and her husband David. He was a wonderful Vovo to five grandchildren Julia Freitas, Jared Freitas, Kaitlyn Chaves, Evan Chaves and Autumna Avilla. He was the brother of Jose Freitas and his wife Maria, Maria Oliveira and her husband Walter, Florinda Bairos and her husband Francisco, Ernesto Freitas and his wife Guida and the late Nelia Pinto and Angelo Freitas. Brother in-law of Agnes Freitas and Viriato Pinto. He was also the Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday, February 19th from 7:30-9:30 AM followed by a funeral Mass at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 10 AM.
