Teresa S. Hokeness, 63, of Phillips Lane, Harmony died Friday in her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Steven A. Hokeness. They had been married for 37 years.
Born in Columbus, OH, a daughter of the late Enrico and Rita (Smith) Ciorlano. She had lived in Harmony for 31 years. She was a RN with her husband Steven at their Medical Office in Greenville for many years, as well as Roger Williams Medical Center. She was also Business Manager for Festival Ballet in Providence.
Besides her husband, she leaves her children Brian Hokeness and his wife Carrie Anne of Johnston, Kirsten Hokeness and her husband Greg Young of Chepachet and Eric Hokeness of Harmony, her grandchildren, Caiden and Madeline Young and Gianna Hokeness, her cousin, Karen Vinhateiro of North Providence and her long- time friend, Susan Nutini of Johnston.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation Monday 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Greenville Common, Greenville. Please Omit Flowers.
