Patricia L. Gilman, 78, of Derry, NH passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. She was born on December 30, 1935 in Kansas, a daughter of the late Karl H. and Florence (Beamer) Bratton. Patricia attended the University of New Hampshire. She retired as a Claims Specialist for Home Insurance. She enjoyed time with her family on Lake Winnipesauke at Quayside Yacht Club for over 30 years, and was an avid animal lover and supporter of the Humane and Loon Societies.
She is survived by one son, Stuart P. Gilman and his wife Joni of Modesto, CA, one daughter, Kathleen L. Torre and her husband Martin of Pembroke, NH, seven grandchildren, Brandon, Jared, Brittany, Benjamin, Vanessa, Joseph and Jacqueline, five great-grandchildren, Josiah, Tyler, Elizabeth, a great grandchild due in April, and Pilot Lily, one sister, Sheila Kendall of Peoria, AZ. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, I. Stuart Gilman Jr.
Following cremation, a memorial calling hour was held on Saturday, March 8th from 10-11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A memorial service followed at 11:00am in the funeral home.
