Michael F. Dacey, a long time resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 56 years old.
Mike was born in Boston on September 14, 1957, a son of Arthur P. Dacey and Helen (Duffy) Petrowsky. He grew up in Dorchester where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Mike was a mechanic and a handyman and was willing to help anyone whenever in need of fixing things. He was also an avid fan and enjoyed Nascar racing.
Mike is the beloved husband of 22 years to Mary V. (Reeder) Dacey. He is the beloved father of Michael Dacey, Scott Dacey and the late Pamela Dacey. He is the loving Grandpa Mike to Madisyn Dacey. He is the beloved son of Helen (Duffy) Petrowsky and the late Arthur P. Dacey. He is the devoted brother of Paul Dacey, Arthur Dacey, Timothy Dacey, Walter Dacey, Terry Dacey, Brenda Dacey and Ann Coyne. He is the beloved son-in-law of Irene and George Reeder. He is also the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Mike's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
