Nancy Teresa (Demers) Gouveia, age 55, of Somerset passed away peacefully on February 8, 2014 at Catholic Memorial Home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Jeff Gouveia and daughter of the late Bernard and Marjorie (Gordon) Demers. Born in Fall River, she attended Sacred Heart Academy until its closing in 1975. She was a graduate of Somerset High School and attended the Diman Region Medical Assistance Program. Prior to retirement she was an Instructor at Cooperative Productions in Dighton.
Nancy was the loving mother of Neil Jeffrey Gouveia of Fall River; sister of Paul Demers of Uxbridge; grandmother of Jacob, Zachary and Aubri Gouveia of Fall River. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will take place at St. Louis de France in Swansea on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. Internment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Somerset.
