Ronald Dwight Dodge age 69 formerly of Canton passed away after a valiant eight year struggle with Alzheimer’s on February 4th at The Lutheran Home, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Born in Norwood Ron attended the Cardinal Cushing School (St. Coletta’s) in Hanover, MA. While there Ron was an alter server, served Cardinal Cushing and accompanied him to Lourdes. He worked in the Grounds Department for 34 years at the Massachusetts Hospital School, Canton, until retiring in 2001. Ron was voted Employee of the Year in 1998 and was a proud member of the bowling league. He was a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton and St. Pius X Parish, Wauwatosa, WI. As a lifelong fan of the Red Sox he traveled to several spring trainings and in the off season enjoyed the Bruins and Patriots. He loved his grandpa LaValley, family vacations in Maine, archery, camping trips with his parents and would travel anywhere. Son of the late Ellison and Florence Dodge, brother of Patricia (Frank) Bruce, Wauwatosa Wisconsin, Gregory (Jeannie) Dodge of Billerica and Albert Dodge (Claire Wade), Sydney Australia. Loving uncle of Gregory, Jennifer, Deborah, Frank, Ellison, and Elizabeth. Great uncle to Mackenzie, Emily, Molly, Ellie, Madeline, Evan and Katherine. Visiting hours at the Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St Canton, Thursday February 27th, 4-7. Funeral Mass at St John the Evangelist Church Canton, Friday February 28th at 10:30. Burial, St Mary’s Cemetery, Canton.
