William M. Giannattasio (Bill), 87, of Marlboro, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12th at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Norma (Perry) Giannattasio of Marlboro.
William was born in Boston, MA, son of the late Michael and Philomena (Staffia) Giannattasio. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was employed for many years as a supervisor with the Raytheon Company until his retirement. William enjoyed playing golf in his spare time but most of all cherished the time he shared with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be truly missed by them all.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, William Giannattasio Jr and his wife Marcie of Lancaster; his daughter, Kristen Giannattasio and her husband Scott Simendinger of Framingham; and his two loving grandchildren, Samantha and Sawyer Giannattasio. He is also survived by his sister, Eleanor Campatelli of Woburn and his many relatives and friends.
A funeral service and celebration of William’s life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15th at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Friday, Feb. 14th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
