Barbara A. Whitten, 77 of Derry, NH died Monday February 10, 2014 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Derry. Barbara was born in Manchester, NH on January 15, 1937 a daughter of the late Harold and Doris (Stillson) Whitten. She was a longtime resident of Derry, formerly living in Exeter, NH. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy Class of 1954. She was employed as an assistant supervisor in claims for Travelers Insurance Company where she worked for 20 years. She also worked for the Bill DeRemer Insurance Agency. She enjoyed traveling and playing pool. Barbara leaves cousins and several close friends.
There are no calling hours. Graveside services were held on Wednesday, February 19th at 11:00am in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Rd., E. Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is in charge of arrangements.
