Devoted grandfather of Shauna Powers, and her husband Jay, Brenna Gaffney and Kyle McManus, Christopher Gaffney, Molly Ahearn, and Aidan Ahearn. Loving brother of Joseph P. Gaffney of West Roxbury, James M. Gaffney of Lexington, and the late Thomas and Elizabeth Gaffney.
Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Tuesday February 18, at 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Theresa of Avila Church at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Mr. Gaffney fought in the D-Day Invasion, Omaha Beach, and the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge.
