Laconia-----Daniel K. Virgin, 52, of 25 Union Ave, died Monday, February 10, 2014 in his home in Laconia.
Daniel was born June 9, 1961 in Concord, N.H., the son of Linda (Angwin) and William T. Virgin, Jr. He worked for both the Glove Hollow Tree Farm and Rochester Shoe Tree in Plymouth and also for Allen-Rogers in Laconia. Dan loved the ocean, lighthouses and especially loons. He was known as a great conversationalist. Daniel enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid NCIS fan. He especially enjoyed family functions and trips to Las Vegas. Dan received an enormous amount of satisfaction creating things and working with his hands.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Linda Acorace of Belmont, two step-fathers; John Acorace of Belmont and Arthur Durette of Columbia, his biological father William T. Virgin Jr. of Epsom, NH, two brothers; David Virgin and companion Donna Gibson of Bristol, NH, and Timothy Virgin and wife Julie of Bristol, NH, two sisters; Heidi (Durette) Holt of Wolfeboro, NH and Cathleen (Durette) LaPierre and husband Christopher LaPierre of New Durham, NH; nephews Gregory Virgin, Zackary and Nicholas Holt and Lawson LaPierre; nieces Darcy Virgin, Sierra Holt, Lillian and Lindsey LaPierre, Cristina Rich, Carlina and Gabrielle Virgin and many aunts and uncles. Daniel was pre-deceased by his brother, William T. Virgin III in 2013, maternal grandparents Paul and Rachel Angwin A.K.A Nana and Gump; paternal grandparents William and Ella Virgin and Uncle Steven Angwin.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 10 AM to 12 Noon in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 12 Noon also at the Funeral Home.
