Obituary

Leo R. Lacerte, 65, of New Bedford died February 12, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
He was the husband of the late Rita F. (Gadapee) Lacerte.
Born in Acushnet, the son of Aurore R. (Goudreau) Lacerte of New Bedford and the late Joseph J. Lacerte, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Lacerte was formerly employed by Titleist for many years until his retirement.
He was a sixth degree black belt and vice president of Ohana Kenpo Karate Association. Mr. Lacerte served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his mother; 2 sons, Darin Inman of Freetown and Alfredo Inman of Michigan; a daughter, Pamela Silva of Fall River; 2 sisters, Deborah Kirby of New Bedford and Dolores Crowley of Denver, CO; numerous grandchildren including Lisa, Rita, Jean and Gabriel; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday, February 18th at 10 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday, February 17th from 3-7 PM.
