Obituary

LEICESTER: Bernard T. Dolengiewicz 86, of Sargent St. in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 65 years, Lena R. (Bonnici) Dolengiewicz, his daughter Kathleen Dolen and her husband John of Leicester, two grandsons Timothy J. Dolen and his wife Kelly of Paxton and Joseph T. Dolen and his wife Elin of Leicester, three great grandchildren Lena, Alice and Luke Dolen. He is predeceased by a son Thomas B. Dolengiewicz in 2002.

Bernard was a steelworker for New England High Carbon in Millbury for 20 years, and later John Adams Die Co. in Worcester before retiring in 1993,

Born in Hatfield,Ma., he was the son of Konstanty and Catherine (Woasin) Dolengiewicz. He served his country on Army Hospital Ships with the Merchant Marine, and later with the 11th Airborne Division as a paratrooper. He was a custom fishing rod and custom golf club builder. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing and was a lifetime member of the Auburn Sportsman’s Club.

The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care, comfort and compassion from all of the staff at the Ichabod Washburn Hospice residence.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 14 at 10a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum in Worcester. A calling hour will precede the service on Friday from 9 to 10a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence, 1183 Main St., Worcester, Ma. 01603.
