Obituary

Kelley, John J. of West Roxbury, MA. Beloved brother of Ruth A. McDonough of West Roxbury and the late Virginia. M. DuWors of Mashpee, MA.

John passed away peacefully after a brief illness on February 11, 2014.

He is survived by his sister Ruth McDonough and his devoted nieces and nephews, their spouses and children and many loving friends.

John was born on May 1, 1928 in Boston MA. He was a graduate of Boston College, served as a medic in the Korean War and upon his return worked as a chemist in the Boston area until his retirement. John enjoyed all types of music and was also an avid reader and sports enthusiast. John was well known in the West Roxbury area and will be sadly missed by all, especially his buddies at the YMCA.

In lieu of flowers donations in John's memory may be made to the West Roxbury YMCA, 15 Bellevue Avenue, West Roxbury, MA 02132.

Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Friday February 14, at 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours in the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 AM.

Interment Old Calvary cemetery.
