WORCESTER__Antoinette (Navolski) Ivaska, 87, formerly of 20 Palisades St., died Sunday Oct. 17 in Dodge Park Rest Home.
She leaves her husband of 63 years, Joseph P. Ivaska, a son, Paul Ivaska of Newburyport; two daughters, JoAnne F. Jacobson of Millbury and Donna DiNardo of Worcester; a sister, Marion Mesale of Worcester; four grandchildren, Craig DiNardo, Alyssa DiNardo, Alanna Jacobson and Elizabeth wife of Edward Miner, two great-grandchildren, Lacy Miner and Lauren Miner and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, William Nowalsky. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Stasis and Mary (Verkauskas) Navolski and lived here all his life.
Mrs. Ivaska was a cutter many years for Worcester Knitting Co., before retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Casimir Church, its former Mother’s Club, the Lithuanian Roman Catholic Women’s Alliance and Council 26 Knights of Lithuania.
The funeral will be held on Friday Oct. 22 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday Oct. 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. Members of Council 26 Knights of Lithuania will meet at 6 p.m. during calling hours to conduct their ritual.
