LACONIA – Isabelle A. Jacques, 98, of 406 Court Street, a longtime resident of Laconia, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born on January 15, 1916 in Lakeport, the daughter of Augustin and Delina (Ouellette) Truchon. Isabelle was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia and a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart and the Ladies of Saint Anne’s. She volunteered as a Cub Scout den mother and enjoyed sewing and knitting.
She is survived by her two sons; Richard A. Jacques and his wife Jane of Cape Coral, FL and Raymond C. Jacques and his wife Arlene of Newton, Mass., one daughter, Jeannine H. Allen and her husband Roger of Belmont, five grandchildren; David Allen and his wife Kristey of Bethel, Vermont, Dan Allen and his wife Brenda of Laconia, Linda Dumais and her husband Jonathan of Belmont, Gary Allen and his wife Erica of Laconia and Paul Jacques and his wife Lisa of Manchester, seventeen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Romeo C. Jacques in 1992, three brothers; Albert Truchon, Arthur Truchon and Eli Truchon and two sisters; Rose Blais and Blanche.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 5PM to 8PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Andre Bessette Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, N.H.
Burial will follow at 2PM on Thursday in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.
