Elizabeth “Bette” Olson, a life long Dedham resident, died October 17, 2004 at her home in Dedham. She was 80. She was born in Dedham and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mabel (Higgins) Olson. Ms. Olson worked as a data entry clerk for The Westinghouse Company in Hyde Park.
She was the aunt of Shirley Hilton of Chelmsford, Diane Smead of North Billerica, Susan DiCicco of North Weymouth, Dana Roberts of China, Gale Marcantonio of Cotuit, and Barbara Roberts of Walpole. She was the sister of the late Hilda Cotton, Evelyn Roberts, and George Schaefer
A funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Saturday at 11:00am. Rev. Taylor Roth will officiate. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation Saturday morning prior to the service 9:30-10:30am. Private interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
