Louise Moraes, 88, of New Bedford died October 17, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Dos Santos) Moraes, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Miss Moraes was formerly employed by Cameo Curtains for many years until her retirement. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and cooking for her family.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Stella Cromwell and Alice "Ju Ju" Moraes, both of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Antone Moraes, Alfonso "Mickey" Moraes and Lillian Miranda.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordWednesday, October 20th at 8 AM.Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday, October 19th from 4-8 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
