Apts, Robert Otis “Bump” 96, of Falmouth formerly of Norwell passed away at home on February 7. Husband of the late Pearl M. (Storey) Apts. Father of Nancy Heinrich and her husband Richard of Mashpee, and the late Martha McMorrow. He also leaves 3 grandchildren Richard S. Heinrich Jr. and his wife Mary, Gail S. Martin and her husband David, and Elizabeth McMorrow, 4 great grandchildren, Sarah DuBois and her husband William III, Faith Heinrich, Jennifer Martin and Chris Martin and 3 great great grandchildren, William DuBois IV, Ava Hasbrouck, and Cameron Martin. Brother of the late Roger Apts.
“Bump” was born in Norwell the son of Herbert and Doris (Litchfield) Apts he graduated from Norwell High School. Robert worked at the Watertown Arsenal during WWII. He worked as a plumber and the as a carpenter and cabinet maker. He was a member of Phoenix Lodge AF&AM, First Parish Church in Norwell. Bump was a call firefighter for the Norwell Fire Department serving as its Deputy Chief. He also was a Square Dance Caller for many years and enjoyed gardening, fishing and his summers in Bridgeton, ME. A private burial will take place in First Parish Cemetery in Norwell at a later date.
