Obituary

Edward K. Hall, 86, of Norwood died February 6 in Norwood Hospital. He was the husband of Lillian (Trefry) Hall with whom he was married for 65 years last July.
Born in East Boston, the son of the late Edward and Olivia (King) Hall, Mr. Hall was raised and educated in Boston and had lived in Norwood for the past 50 years.
He was a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Electric Engineering.
He had worked for the Raytheon Corporation and GTE Systems in Westborough.
Mr. Hall served in the Navy during World War II and in the Army during the Korean War.
Ed enjoyed the company of his corgie, Monty, trips to the casinos, and vacationing at the ocean in Maine. He loved keeping in touch with his former co-workers about worldly events.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Roof and her husband Ronald of North Conway, New Hampshire and Nancy O’Brien and her husband Dennis of Franklin.
He is also survived by his granddaughters Stephanie L. Carroll of Mansfield, Emily M. O’Brien of Boston and Angela L. Roof of Boston.
He is also survived by his great-grandsons, Cameron D. Carroll and Tyler J. Carroll.
He was the brother of the late Lil, Norma, Florence, Edna, Mary and June.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday February 11 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
