Andrew Kucharsky, 94, of Fairhaven died Friday February 7, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Nellie (Lubera) Kucharsky; they had been married for 67 years.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, the son of the late Wasily and Victoria (Skalubinski) Kucharsky, he lived in Fairhaven for most of his life.
He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mr. Kucharsky was formerly employed as a machinist at Morse Twist Drill for many years until his retirement.
He was a skilled mechanic and craftsman. He was an avid sport fisherman.
He is survived by two daughters, Andrea V. Tavares of New Bedford and Sandra Curtis of South Dartmouth; a sister, Ruth Pavone of California; five grandchildren, Mark and Todd Winterbottom, Kim Botelho, Jill Fletcher, and Scott Gizzi; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Stephanie Moskov, Katherine Wickware, Mary Woodacre, and Myra Lafrancois.
