David W. Deree, 50, of New Bedford died February 7, 2014 unexpectedly at home.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Richard E. and Mary Ann (Perry) Deree, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
David was formerly employed as a chef at several local restaurants for many years and was the former proprietor of Angelina's Restaurant.
He was a member of the Panther's Athletic Club and the Ponta Delgada Club. David enjoyed playing darts and was an avid Miami Dolphins and Boston Red Sox fan.
Survivors include his daughter, Samantha Deree of New Bedford; his former wife, Lisa (Rodrigues) Deree of New Bedford; a step-daughter, Angelina Verissimo of New Bedford; 3 brothers, Richard E. Deree, Jr. and his wife Lucy and William Deree and his wife Deborah, all of New Bedford and Dennis Deree and his wife Debra of Acushnet; 3 sisters, Joann Berube and her husband David of New Bedford, Mary Jane Brown of Acushnet and Nancy Weaver and her husband Bill of Jacksonville, FL; a sister-in-law, Donna Deree of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Michael Deree.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Thursday, February 13th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, February 12th from 4-8 PM.
