METHUEN – Barbara I. (Stacy) Hamel, 88 of Methuen passed away peacefully on Friday February 7, 2014 at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen.
Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of Walter and Mabel (Fuller) Stacy. Barbara was a graduate of the Edward F. Searles High School in Methuen and attended McIntosh Business School in Lawrence.
The widow of Chanel J. Hamel, she is survived by her children; Richard Hamel and his wife Pamela of Haverhill, MA, Thomas Hamel and his wife Margaret of Bedford, NH and Deborah Weinhold and her husband Bruce of Methuen, MA.
4 grandsons, Steven Hamel and his wife Lisa, David Hamel, Michael Weinhold and his wife Kristen and Matthew Weinhold.
5 great-grandchildren, Marie, Margaret, Emily, Caroline and Jacob.
Several nieces and nephews.
