Obituary

Oxford – Robert W. Lang, 72, of Oxford, died on Friday, January 31st in UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus after an illness.

Mr. Lang is survived by his wife of 46 years, Arlene R. (Dufour) Lang; two sons, Brian Gunderman and his wife Julie of Oxford and James Gunderman and his fiancée Penny Francisco of Thompson, CT; two sisters, Ellen Mae Smith and Dorothy Warren, both of Shrewsbury, 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Robert was born in Shrewsbury, son of the late Wilfred and Evelyn (Anderson) Lang.

Mr. Lang is a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked for 34 years at Bay State Abrasives then, he worked for the Shrewsbury Public Schools at the Beal School before retiring. Bob was an avid bowler and was a longtime volunteer at the Oxford Senior Center as a caller for bingo.

A service will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 10 AM in Notre Dame Mausoleum 162 Webster Street Worcester. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester is directing arrangements.
