Obituary

WORCESTER: Richard H. Deneault, 71, of 9 Healy Rd., formerly of Pilgrim Ave., died Monday, February 3, 2014 at his home, after a long illness. His wife of 20 years, Diane E. (Melvin) Deneault, died October 16, 2010.
He leaves six children, Theresa George of Worcester, Richard Deneault and his wife Kelly of Holden, Denise Deneault and her husband Michael Dodos of Worcester, Stephanie Prosser and her husband Scott of Iowa, Cynthia Manzello and her husband Anthony of Worcester, Paula Deneault of Oxford; a step-son, David M. Martel of Whitinsville; a step-daughter, Tracey L. Martel of North Oxford; his companion Brenda Cofske and her family, especially her daughter Melissa Golemo; three brothers, John A. Deneault and his wife Mary of Auburn, Joseph Deneault of Tewksbury, Don Jay Deneault of Kentucky; a sister Carolyn Woods and her husband Paul of Worcester; many grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Boston, son of the late Ernest C. and Claire I. (Allard) Deneault and lived in the Worcester area most of his life.
Richard worked as a forklift operator at New England Grocers for many years. He was a member of the Devil’s Horns Racing Car Club. He enjoyed the Summer Nationals and camping at Pout and Trout in Rutland.
There are no calling hours. Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. The family suggests donations in memory of Richard be made to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, One Abbey Lane, Middleboro, MA 02346 OR the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress ST, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
