Obituary

Mrs. Phyllis V. (Gallo) Davies, a resident of North Andover, formerly of Revere and beloved wife of James D. Davies, died at her home on Monday, February 3, 2014, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 71 years old.
Phyllis was born in Everett on January 13, 1943 and was the beloved daughter of the late George and Phyllis (Twomey) Gallo. She was graduate of the Revere Public School system, received her BA from Boston College and Masters Degree in English from Suffolk University. She was certified in English, History and Administration. Mrs. Davies was a School Teacher for 40 years in the Revere Public School system and retired in June, 2004.
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and traveling with independent hockey leagues with her son, Derek and following his hockey career through high school and college. She also enjoyed watching her husband, Jim, garden. Phyllis loved to visit Disney World.
Besides her beloved husband, James, Phyllis will be very sorely missed by her loving son Derek Cote of North Andover and her yellow lab, Rudi.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at 7 PM.
