PLYMOUTH — Anne H. (Hillier) Reese, age 90 years, died WedÂnesday, January 29, 2014, at Beth Israel Deaconess-Jordan Hospital in Plymouth after a period of declining health.
The wife of the late Charles E. Reese, she was born in Nantucket to the late John R. and Mary A. (Miller) Hillier. She lived much of her life in New Bedford until moving to Oak Point in Middleborough in 2004.
A member of Grace Episcopal Church, she was active in Episcopal Church Women and also delivered flowers to shut-ins for many years. Anne retired as a bank executive from Shawmut Bank formerly the First National Bank of New Bedford, and had been an advisor from the bank to Junior AchieveÂment.
She is survived by her son, James Reese and his wife Jo of Middleborough; her daughter, Linda Farias and her husband Terry of Cumming, Ga.; her grandchildren, Sherry Burke of Middleborough, Tracey White of Cumming, Ga., Lori Hackenson of West Bridgewater, Amy Trujillo of Rosewell, Ga.; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her private services are with the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford with burial in Rural Cemetery.
It is suggested remembrances be made in her name to the Shriner's Transportation Fund, 99 Fordham Road, Wilmington, Ma. 01887.
