John Richard “Ricky” Lynn, Jr., 42, of Irwin County, died Friday, January 31, 2014, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2014, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Allen Arowood officiating.
Mr. Lynn was born July 25, 1971 in Ben Hill County to Diane Weldon Lynn and the late Johnny Lynn. He attended Fitzgerald High School and received his telecommunications training from East Central Technical College. He was employed with Tel-Aid Industries and enjoyed working with computers. He traveled to 49 of the 50 states and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Mr. Lynn was a passionate football fan and a devoted FSU Seminole and Oakland Raider fan. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his mother: Diane Weldon Lynn of Fitzgerald. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive including: Bubba & Melissa Weldon of Rochelle, Leah Weldon, Linda Sims, Jimmy St. John, Joey & Tracy St. John, and Summit St. John. He was preceded in death by his father: John Richard Lynn.
The Ricky Lynn Funeral Fund has been opened at PlantersFirst Bank in Fitzgerald for friends wishing to make donations.
