Robert F. Noyer, Sr., 77, of Mattapoisett died October 16, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was the husband of Joan M. (Hickey) Noyer.
Born in Middleboro, son of the late Frank R. and Margaret (Quelle) Noyer, he lived in Lakeville most of his life before moving to Mattapoisett 39 years ago.
Mr. Noyer served in the US Navy during World War II as a radar man on a motor-torpedo boat, patrolling the English Channel and participating in the D-Day invasion.
He worked in construction for many years. In later years, he owned and operated his own company, Fox Enterprises, in which his sons worked with him.
Mr. Noyer enjoyed fishing and lobstering, also raising a variety of animals at his Noi Toi Farm.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter Mary F. Magee and her husband Paul, of Mattapoisett; 4 sons, Robert F. Noyer, Jr. and his wife Pamela, of Mattapoisett, Stephen C. Noyer, and his wife Michelle, of Newbury, NH, Peter R. Noyer, and his wife Bozena, of Putnam Valley, NY., and Timothy J. Noyer of New Bedford; a sister, Elizabeth Murray of Maryland; 9 grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late David A. Noyer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass in St. Anthony's Church, Mattapoisett Saturday, October 23rd at 10 AM.
Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery will full military honors will be private.
