Olive E. Gilheeney-Stoner, 91, of Smithfield, died Friday in Cortland Place, Greenville. She was the wife of the late Commander William A. Stoner, USN, Retired.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late George and Emma (Brenner) Grimm. She had lived in Oceanside, CA before moving to Smithfield. While living in Smithfield, she was an active member of the Smithfield Senior Center.
She leaves her son, William G. Gilheeney and his wife Sandra of Johnston, a step-son, William A. Stoner, Jr. and his wife Mary of Cypress, TX, grandchildren, Melissa A. Gilheeney of Johnston and Dr. Stephen W. Gilheeney of New York, NY. She was the sister of the late George B. Grimm and David G. Grimm.
Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be held from 5-7pm Tuesday in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville . Funeral will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA at a later date. Please omit flowers.
