Arthur A. Racicot, 84, of Whitman, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at home after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothea F. Racicot over for 60 years.
He was born and raised in Whitman, son of the late Armand and Delores Racicot and a graduate of Whitman High class of 1946.
Arthur was a lifelong resident of Whitman. He worked for HP Hood and Sons as well as Garber Brothers. He was an avid woodworker in his spare time.
He is survived by four sons, Michael of Florida, Dennis and his wife Christina of Marshfield, Timothy and his wife Susan of Whitman and Richard of Whitman. Also his grandchildren Erin L. Stracuzzi and her husband Scott of Abington, Meagan M. Racicot of Whitman, Ryan F. Racicot and his wife Brooke of Plymouth, Andrew H. Racicot and his wife Heather of Missouri, Nicole Savage and her husband Dan of Whitman, Jennifer L. Racicot of Rockland, Kevin M. Racicot of Bridgewater and Christopher Gavrielidis of Marshfield. Also six great-grandchildren Jayden, Jaxon, Danny, Leo, Reese and Landon. He is also survived by two sisters, Janet Ford of Bryantville and Gail Wallace of Whitman.
Arthur’s wishes were for all his services to be private.
