Obituary

Worcester - Arthur V. Manseau, Jr., 78, of 21 Dillon St. formerly of Ethel Place died Tuesday March 19 in the University Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an illness.

Mr. Manseau leaves his wife of 52 years Murielle M. (Germain) Manseau of Worcester; three sons Dennis A. Manseau of Hubbardston, Steven A. Manseau and Craig A.J. Manseau both of Worcester; one daughter Tina M. Bordenave of Riverside, CA; one brother Bernard Manseau of Worcester; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Manseau is predeceased by a brother Roland Manseau of North Brookfield. He was born in Worcester son of Arthur V. and Eva (Guyon) Manseau Sr.

Mr. Manseau is a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army.

He worked for the City of Worcester as the Assistant Director of Streets for the Departent of Public Works for 35 years retiring in 1981. Mr. Manseau received a commendation from the State of Massachusetts for being the first city to have it's streets re-opened after the blizzard of 1978.

Mr. Manseau was a member of the Knights of Columbus Leicester Council and Ascension Church.

The funeral will be held on Friday March 22 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Ascension Church 40 Vernon St.. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Thursday March 21 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to University Commons Resident Activity Fund 378 Plantation St. Worcester, MA 01605.
