Pauline "Faye" Fortier, 70, of Derry, NH, died Wednesday January 29, 2014 in Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. She was born in Turkey, NC on September 25, 1943, a daughter of the late Thurman and Macey (Mcgee) West. Faye had been a resident of Derry for the past 50 years, having been raised and educated in Turkey, NC. Faye loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband William A. Fortier of Derry; one daughter, Karen J. Bennett of Chester, NH; two sons, David A. Fortier and his wife Lisa, and Michael J. Fortier and his wife Michelle, all of Londonderry, NH; six grandchildren, Cyndie, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Shawn, Joseph, and William; and; two great grandchildren, Jaidyn and Aleah; three sisters, Gladys Horne of Turkey, NC, Ann Hudson of Columbia, SC, and Sarah White of Turkey, NC; several nieces and nephews; as well as many lifelong friends and neighbors.
Calling hours were held on Monday, February 3rd from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. The burial followed in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry.
