Florene (Hammons) Norian, 77, of Franklin died January 29 in the Medway Country Manor following a brief illness. She was the wife of Paul J. Norian.
Born in Goree, Texas, August 4, 1936, the daughter of the late James Ruby and Nettie Margaret (Wright) Hammons, Mrs. Norian was raised in Goree and had lived in Franklin for the past 55 years.
Mrs. Norian had been the office manager for New England Labs for many years.
Florene enjoyed traveling and reading.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Paul F. Norian of Bellingham, Cindy Norian of Attleboro, and Cathy Norian of Franklin.
She is also survived by her brother Jim Earl Hammons of San Antonio, Texas, and her sisters Jossie Virginia Cooksey of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Ruby Dain Howell of Joshua, Texas.
She was the sister of the late Johnny Leo Hammons.
Florene is also survived by her granddaughter Allison Norian of Bellingham and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 11:00.
Interment will be private.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
