Dorothy M. Albanese, age 66, of Medford formerly of Cambridge, passed away Saturday, October 16th, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph W. Albanese. Born in Cambridge she was the daughter of the late Anna Mae (Chute) and John J. Cashman.
Dorothy was devoted to her family and loved being with and caring for her grandchildren. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy´ memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
In addition to her husband Joseph, she is survived by her daughter Dorothy Donnelly and her husband David of Everett. She was the loving grandmother of Sandra, Shannon and D.J. Donnelly. She is further survived by her sisters; Barbara Silva of Stoneham, Joanmarie Shepherd of Norwood, Catherine “Kitty” Diggins of Somerville and is preceded in death by her brother George H. Cashman. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Wednesday, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Servcies will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
