Virginia Mary (Sperlinga) Luzzo of Saugus died Monday, January 27. Raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Joan (Kelley) Sperlinga.
Virginia was the beloved wife of Robert Luzzo, Sr. and devoted mother of Joseph and Derek Luzzo, both of Saugus, Robert Luzzo, Jr. and his wife Danielle of Medford. She was the loving sister of Lisa Sperlinga of Wakefield, Christine Sperlinga of Somerville, Joan Cottone and her husband Rocco of Watertown, Michael Sperlinga and his wife Shannon of Boston, Bobby Sperlinga of California, and the late Kim Sperlinga. Virginia was the loving aunt of Pauly, Michael, Anthony, Julia, Joey, Vivian, Leonardo, Maximus, and daughter-in-law of Bruno Luzzo and his late wife Shirley of Medford.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday, January 31 at 12:30pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9:30am-12:30pm. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
