Douglas L. " Doug" Ashby, 57, of Anderson made his way home on December 26, 2013.
He was born on August 6, 1956 in Anderson to Joseph D. Ashby and Macel (Mabbitt) Holaday.
He was a self-employed musician.
He is survived by his mother, Macel Holaday; Sister, Pamela J. Ashby; 2 brothers, Mark C. (Lena) Holaday and Charles N. Holaday; half-sister, Kelly J. Ashby and a step-sister, Robin Eytchison; 2 nephews, Jeremiah J. Holaday and James C. Holaday; Niece, Erica McDole; Several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph D. Ashby; grandparents, Lloyd and Velma Mabbitt and Lee and Daisy Ashby and an Aunt, Sonja Ohler.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 3:00pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Angie Covington officiating.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
