Obituary

Mrs. Lea R. (Simard) Kruczek, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 26 in Morton Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Felix Kruczek. She was born 91 years ago in Quebec, Canada, and immigrated to Taunton as a child. She was educated in Taunton, having graduated from the former Leonard School, and had attended Taunton High School. Lea had been a city resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a seamstress for the former Whittenton Garment Company for many years. She was a member of the former Msgr. Coyle High School Mothers Club, and the former St. Jacques Church Womens Guild. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and knitting. She was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Church in Taunton.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 1 son: John Kruczek and his wife, Kathleen of Johnston, R.I.; a daughter-in-law: Wendy Kruczek of Berkley; 4 grandchildren: Dr. Kimberly Kruczek, Kelly Kruczek, Scott Kruczek and Bonnie Forsberg; 2 great grandchildren: Julie and Jacob Forsberg, and several nieces and nephews. Lea was also the mother of the late Stephen Kruczek.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Thursday, January 30 at 11:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Visiting Hour will precede the funeral, Thursday, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
