Mary Sally Nelson Gray, 60, of Enigma died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at her sister's residence in Abbeville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Enigma Baptist Church. Rev. Pete Jones will officiate with a eulogy to be given by Cory Thompson. Burial will follow in Vickers Church Cemetery in Berrien County. C. J. Harrell, Ronald Harbin, Keith Ray, Destrian Douglas, Russell Douglas and Terry Williams will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Enigma Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gray was born on March 13, 1953 in Turner County and was the daughter of Randolph Nelson and Eva Rutledge Nelson, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Clayton “W. C.” Gray; and a daughter, Haley Gray. She was a nurse’s aide and was a child care provider.
Mrs. Gray is survived by one son, Randy Gray of Enigma; one sister, Joyce Harrell of Abbeville; two grandchildren, Ashley Mitchell and C. C. Gray; and two great-grandsons, Garrett Ray and Gabe Mooney.
