Mary Aline “Betty” (Thompson)Lawrence, 83, of Louisville passed away at her home Friday, January 24, 2014.
Betty was born in St Joseph, KY and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She had retired from the old Briarwood Nursing Home as a nursing aide.
She was a loving wife & mother and devout catholic. She was one of 10 children and loved growing up in the country, and climbing the persimmon trees.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 63 years, John Henry Lawrence; five children, Greg Lawrence (Linda), Eileen Brown, Mike Lawrence (Renee), Ann Ramser (George) & Cecilia Lynch (Rick); two sisters, Shirley Chrisman & Joan Thompson; a brother, Anthony Thompson; ten grandchildren & seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday at St Paul Catholic Church 6901 Dixie Hwy with burial in St Andrews Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday & after 9:00 am Monday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
