N. Andover – Julia A. (Gribenas) Kerton, 91, of North Andover, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Lawrence General Hospital. She was the wife of William R. Kerton.
Born in Lawrence on May 18, 1922, she was the daughter of Clements and Anna (Kibestis) Gribenas. She graduated from Lawrence High School. In her free time, she enjoyed painting and doing word puzzles. She was also an avid Red Sox fan.
Julia will be deeply missed by her 2 daughters, Deidra Kerton and Judith Wells, both of Lynn; her son, William Kerton of Lynn; 2 granddaughterss, Tala Lamanna and her husband, Brian of Collegeville, PA and Emily Kerton of New Hampshire; 3 great granddaughters, June, Rose, and Starline; her great grandson, Leif; her niece Patty; and 2 nephews, Dennis and Reg.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Julia’s life by gathering for a graveside service at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Barker Street in Lawrence on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested, in Julia’s memory, memorial contributions be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844
