Obituary

NATICK: David Christopher Henry, 87, died peacefully and comfortably surrounded by his loving and devoted family on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire following a period of declining health.
He was born in Boston on October 12, 1926 the son of the late David A. Henry and Mary (Dolan) Henry.
He is survived by his devoted daughter Sharon Lee Mulvey and her husband Jeffrey Mulvey of South Sutton, NH and his beloved granddaughter Samantha Marie Mulvey of South Sutton, NH. David was the loving husband for 52 years of the late Veronica R. (Hannon) Henry who died on February 17, 2006. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
David has been a resident of Natick for over 56 years and spent his formative years in West Roxbury. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. David had a long and dedicated career of over 28 years as a Technical Writer in Publications for the Raytheon Company at many of their locations throughout Massachusetts.
He served his country proudly during the Korean War with the United States Army.
He loved to play the organ and was an accomplished organist. He enjoyed spending time listening to music and especially loved classical music, marching bands and opera. He also enjoyed old time radio shows, photography and traveling. He and his wife Veronica were longtime communicants of St. Zepherins Church. His greatest and proudest accomplishment was his family who he was dedicated to and enjoyed spending time with.
Visitations will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 9:00 am followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin Church, 99 Main Street (Rte 27), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Henry family lot in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests that memorial gifts in David’s memory may be sent to the VNA of Natick, 209 West Central St, Natick, MA 01760 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
